can I commission onyx feather for custom pieces?

Yes, we work with clients to create customized pieces. we also fulfill customized wedding orders. Rates vary depending on the type of stones used and the price of the vintage pieces. how long does a custom order piece take to create?

Wedding orders generally take 5-6 weeks. (It takes time to find a cohesive group of one-of-a-kind vintage pieces.) For standard custom orders it varies depending on how many orders are underway at that particular time.

does onyx feather do replications?

No. Every onyx feather is unique and can't be reproduced; however, if you see a piece you really like, send an email and perhaps we can work towards creating another one with different components but a similar concept.

how does shipping work?

There is a standard $5 flat rate for shipping necklaces and $3 for earrings (this includes tracking). Each necklace ships out within 1-2 days of purchase (via fed-ex) and arrives creatively packaged in signature Onyx Feather style.

what is the return policy?

A customer can receive store credit (for the amount of the purchased item) within 14 days of purchase towards other items in the store. Please note there are no exchanges for pieces that have been altered.

what is your repair policy?

Onyx feather offers six months of complimentary repair. Please bear in mind some pieces are delicate and require careful handling, while others are less fragile and more rugged. All major components of the necklace are required for repair. After six months there will be a fee connected with this service.

do you fix broken jewelry?

Only Onyx Feather pieces. However, if you’d like that old, broken necklace transformed into an Onyx Feather style piece shoot an email to inquiries@onyxfeatheronline.com.

what materials do you use?

The sky is the limit and it differs from city to city. Some cities are mainly semi-precious stones and vintage brooches, connectors, and clasps. Other cities might be linen, rope, hat pins, beeswax and bubblegum. Every Onyx Feather necklace purchased includes a list of materials and jewelry care information. (Kidding about the gum.)

what are “vintage finds?”

They are 100 percent vintage pieces found on Onyx Feather vintage buying trips that I can’t incorporate into a line I’m working on but also can’t walk away from. Consider my downfall your bonus.
